Your reasonings are pretty much the exact same to mine, and why I've had so much disdain for the Grammys for a long time now.

I will say though for Rock/Heavy Metal, seeing bands like Knocked Loose, Spiritbox, and Idles earning some grammy noms was a plus at least.
